This extension boasts an Edwardian style shell/street frontage and timber inside. With every effort to make the extension as small as possible, we have been working closely with the owners to ensure that particular details are incorporated to make the most of the little volume available.
It is the intention that this extension be manufactured from CLT in collaboration with RAICO Pacific.
The street frontage of the dwelling faces South and the only extension is the Western side being a Wet area (laundry, bathroom and WC). Most of the extension happens to the North (rear of the block).
To the rear of the dwelling, a compact staircase rises to a loft bedroom with integrated balustrade continuing through the triangular shaped opening to the North of the main bedroom. This balustrade also continues above the lower roof to tie in with a fixed glass panel as an integrated highlight window.
